the rules of the game (9)
Fig. 18:
“Lestoille” or “le toille”:
I can read and hear “les toiles” – “the paintings”
Other meaning of “toiles”: “les toiles d’araignées” – “the spider’s web”
If I reapeat “lestoille, lestoille, lestoille”… I can hear “lestoillet” – “the toilet”!
and the homophone “les toilettes” – “outfits”
“le toille”
I hear “le toi” – “le toit”
“the roof”
Also found if I read “lestoille” as “les (lait, laid) toi(les)”
“the (milk, ugly) you-roof(webs and paintings)
“lest” contains “l’Est” – “East”
(du) “lest” – “ballast”
And another one homophone “leste” – “nimble”
If I read “lestoille” in reverse I hear a surname and a cooking ingredient:
“elliote sel” : “Eliot”+”sel” – “Eliot”+”salt”
selle(s): saddle (faeces)
Fig. 19:
La lvne (written with a “v”, said as with a “u”)
I hear
“l’alu” = “aluminum”.
I find:
la lune
a une: “aune”: a kind of tree (alder)
a unit of measure (ell)
The expression “à l’aune de” means: “by the yardstick of”
la lvne:
la v e: lave – lava
(je) lave – (I) wash
or lavé orlaver: washed or to wash
If I take care about the “V” I find:
la lvne
Vne – phonetically:
Véne : veine : vein or its homphone
(de la) veine: luck!
Finally, I find someone I didn’t expect in “La Lune”:
la lvne
a lun : “alun” – “alum”: a salt used as astringent, emetic,… (in deodorant for example)
In French, “alun” is pronounced the same as “ALAIN” ! So, I can say that ‘I’ (Alain) am in the Moon (La Lune)! (‘Je’ (Alain) suis dans ‘La Lune!’). In English, the right expression is: “to have one’s head in the clouds”.
Fig. 20:
Le Soleil
Le sol (the ground), phonetically:
le sot (the idiot)
le saut (the jump) and its homophone:
le seau (the bucket) and its homophone:
le sceau (the seal)
le soleil
l o eil = l’oeil (the eye)
“lès oleille”: “les oreilles” – ears!
